With Love, from Spain

In all my life, I can count on one hand the times I've received international mail.  I've never been overseas. The only time I've been out of the United States is to go to Canada. I love Canada. My sisters and I fully intend to explore P.E.I one day and walk in the literary footsteps of Anne and Emily while looking for others in the Race of Joseph. Having said that, lovely Canadian country it is - grand European adventure it is not.

Props to Cocobong for fixing my picture! (see below about awesome soaper community!)

Imagine my great delight and smug worldliness when I received a package from Spain.  This is high living for me, folks.  My package containing soap came from the sweetest Jennifer Young of Jenora Soaps.  I won a sea salt soap bar in a giveaway she hosted. She also threw in an extra little special holiday bar for my personal enjoyment.

I haven't fully put these through the gamut of soapy trials - but first experience is top notch.  The blue salt bar is the first of its kind that I have tried. It is exfoliating, creamy lathered, and scented with an herbal peppermintish fragrance. Intoxicating.  Hubby was trying to stuff it up his nostrils to get a more powerful whiff. I told him that under no circumstances was this bar to go anywhere near his man-bits.  Testing it out on my hands it left smooth silky skin and a pleasantly cooling tingle.

The holiday bar was slightly spiced with a strong sweet finish of Anise. I really appreciate the smell of Anise and fully intend to enjoy this bar.  On my hands it created wonderfully voluminous and loopy bubbles. Definitely an incredible lather. The fragrance stayed behind so nicely on my skin as well.

So, Thank You soapy friend Jen.  I love the goodies, but even more I cherish the relationship.  This soaping community I am blessed to be part of is phenomenal.  I have made so many new friends via blogs, facebook, or soap supplier sites.  Once you open yourself up to the experiences and communication - it is like nothing else I've previously been a part of.  It is sharing, communication, laughter, education, support, daily life interaction, and more.  I would never have "met" these women otherwise.  I still may never meet all of them in person, although it would be lovely to do so. But I still feel touched by them. I hope in some way I can repay that feeling back.

Love and smarmy blathering, Courtney
