Silent Night

I'm sitting here in my living room; the children have not yet fallen asleep, but are on the way to drifting.  Their mouths that are otherwise flapping a mile a minute have silenced.  Our Christmas tree is freshly put up - just this past hour.  It is so delightful and nostalgic to be sitting in the living room as a family with the glow of lights to warm our hearts and spirits.  Even though my parents only live a mile down the road, it makes me miss them.  I should be snuggling with my Poppa and Mom on a night such as this.  Time has passed though and it is my turn to fulfill that role.

Christmas is such a Blessed season.  I am so thankful for the Lord who gives us reason to celebrate.  I am so thankful for what gifts have been sent to our own lives. The day before Thanksgiving we learned we are expecting our third child.  Set to be arriving somewhere around July 26th. I'm a bit tired and worn, chasing two other youngsters while growing this little one.  Oh so happy and grateful though!!

I have my open house at my home tomorrow to sell some soaps and such. I'm expecting a pretty decent turnout based on all the RSVP's I've received thus far.  After this event, I'll be putting the finishing touches on a few orders by way of making candy.  Quite a bit of candy . . . but it should be able to be done in 2-3 days work time if I can really put my nose to the grindstone.  And then - - - I'm taking a break! I'm going to rest, relax, enjoy the season with my family, and grow this baby! So, it may be quiet around these parts until after the holidays.  Maybe not,  I may yet have another post or two in me for 2010; but I make no promises!  :)    God Bless and if I don't "see" you sooner - Merry Christmas to all!
