A Snowy Blessing

How was your Thanksgiving? Ours was very lovely with all the yummy waist expanding trimmings. We go to my parents house with all siblings, spouses, and children. That gives us a total of 17 people now from the original unit of dad, mom, my two sisters, and myself. 9 of them are children. We've multiplied. :)

Dad and Mom with all 9 grandkids.

We had a very heavy snowfall last night to announce Old Man Winter knocking at our doors. I was happy to let him in. Especially since the payoff was a closed school day this morning! I think that kindergartners should get one mandatory extra day off a week anyways!  I miss Corrina so much during the week. She goes to school, gets home after a full day, does homework, eats dinner, bathtime, and then off to bed. The measly weekend time with her isn't enough and I pine for her.  So, today was a little nugget of splendiferous home time. She and her brothers are so glad to have the day together, also. We had an impromptu dance party in the kitchen, are lounging in pj's, and just had a favorite lunch of mac and cheese with apples to dip in a puddle of nutella.  I think we have a nap scheduled in a bit too!  I am so thankful for this day, really and truly. It has given me a boost of spirits that I hope to ride out for the rest of the week.

One night soon, by the weekend at the very latest, we will put up our Christmas tree to celebrate Advent and the upcoming Christmas season. My heart is full at the moment from this happy time. I'm practically leaking tinsel from excitement. I think Mr. Kittyfer will really get a kick out of the tree and lights. I cannot wait to see his baby chins quiver with excitement.

Well, I hope it is a blessed and happy season for all. Will pop back in soon.
Cheers, Court
